Autumn card

I totally cased this card from Jan Tink. Of course hers looks loads better. :) She has an awesome blog, I steal... I mean borrow, alot of ideas from there. The pheasant and leaves are stamped using reinkers dropped onto a baby wipe. That becomes your ink pad. It is a really neat way to get multiple colors onto your card.
Stamps: Autumn Days
Ink: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry

Fire Brigade

My brother's birthday is this weekend so I needed a card. He loves fire fighting so I thought this would be the perfect stamp set. And to kill two birds with one stone (why would you want to kill one bird let alone two???)...my mother in laws birthday is next month too and she is a fire Chief so I made two cards!

Stamps: Fire Brigade (retired SU!)
CS: various brands I had in my stash
Ink: Black Craft (SU!)
Other: Black Embossing powder, Twill ribbon, stickers, watercolor pencils, blender pen, Cutter Kit

Birthday Box

Isn't this cute? It is a double box made with a big shot die. I cut out two of the boxes and cut off the side flaps and the little flap on the top. Then I punched a hole with the Oval punch in the top of each box and taped them together to form this double box. You can put candy or little gifts on each side. The stamp set is the new hostess set The More the Merrier. This is a great set since it is so versatile.
Stamps: The More the Merrier, All Holidays
CS: Green Galore, Bermuda Bay, White
Ink: Black
Other: Markers, Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Rinestone Brads, Oval Punch, Big Shot,

Card box

Here is the box for the card I posted yesterday. The instructions can be found here on Val's Blog. This will make a very cool gift for someone filled with 4-6 cards and envelopes.
The colors are the same as the post yesterday. The little birds were all stamped onto the different colored cardstock and then cut out and popped up.

Last class card

This is the fourth and final card from the Copic class at CF Stamps. This is not my usual style but it is a very pretty card.

Baby card

I am really happy with how this card turned out. I had all these little circles left from some flowers I cut out with my Big Shot and I designed this card around them. :) I think it turned out bright and cheerful. I need some more baby cards for my basket at work so I cranked out 10 of these. All of the colors used (except white) are new this year.

Ink: Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay

The third class card

This is the third card of four that I made at the Copic class at CF Stamps. This little worm was just too cute, I ended up buying him to make more cards. The saying on the inside (which also magically ended up in my shopping basket) says 'Worm wishes on your birthday'. The frame was made with Nestibilities ovals. The eyes are little googily eyes that you can get at any craft store and the dirt he is popping out of has a little bit of craft sand glued on.

Elephant card

I wasn't sure what kind of card to make this one into once I had it done. Do I really want an elephant to say Happy Birthday or Get Well Soon? I finally went with a friend saying. If the colors had been more pastel or bright I might have done it as a baby card. :)

More CF Stamps class cards

This is another card I made at the class at CF Stamps . The little dog was stamped and colored twice and then just her ear was cut out and popped up. The same was doen with the flower. I tried to get a close up so you could see she even has little eyelashes! Such a cute detail for her.

Back to Animal Stories

Here is another Animal Card. I learned a little trick for using my solid image stamps. After you mount them on your wood block lightly brush across them with a sanding block then clean them on your Stampin' Scrub pad. It sounds like it would ruin your stamp but it makes the image come out clean like this instead of blotchy. I didn't think it would work but I tried it with this set and it is fabulous.
Stamps: Animal Stories, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Not Quite Navy
CS: Not Quite Navy, White, Rich Razzleberry(new color)

Whipper Snapper class

Last week I took a Copic Marker class at a local stamp store, CF Stamps. We used these cute Whipper Snapper stamps. I just love the designs that the instructor came up with. This little monkey was stamped and colored twice and then poped up on the front of the card. Just his head was used from the second image and cut out and popped up too. I don't know for sure what the paper is so I can't put down a recipe for this card. It sure is cute though!
